Just a moment ago, I was preparing the Christmas ham. I do the whole thing with cloves and coca-cola (very southern) and it’s always fun and delicious.
When I opened the bottle of whole cloves, I was overcome with the fantastic aroma. It’s a new bottle, so the fragrance was out of this world. I absolutely LOVE the scent of cloves.
Ever wonder what cloves are good for? Besides flavor and aroma, that is?
Protection, Success, Control, and Peace of Mind.
It says it right on the bottle. I didn’t even have to run to a book to look it up. Here’s the label. Print it out and attach it to your jar of cloves. (I used tape.)
I have to admit that I did get a sudden rush of peace of mind. And joy. I’m writing that on the label on one of those blank lines.
Clove belongs to the fire element and is associated with Jupiter, the planet of far away lands. Any time I get a scent of a fresh spice or herb, I understand completely why those long treks for spices in distant lands was an absolute must.
Every wonder what cloves look like before they’re dried? I think they’re adorable!
Well, time to baste.
Have a very Merry Christmas and a fantastic week!

I literally got the ham in the oven and went to my desk and wrote that. I needed someone to understand! 🙂
